CalFire's FB post announces the prescribed burn earlier today....and then a subsequent post announces the wildfire and says "the cause in under investigation."

Well, was this an official controlled burn, or a favor to the retired Cal Fire chief?

It appears to be the latter.

Thankfully no houses got destroyed and now it is raining.
