It doesn't surprise me one bit. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a bunch of anti-mtb groups there too.
Except for groups like this that can be created somewhat anonymously, Facebook doesn't allow people to speak without consequence because all their friends, family and coworkers who are friends with them can see it. on that note...there was a seriously irritating group of roadies riding 3 abreast in front of me today and traffic in the other lane was moving too fast to dart around them. i really wanted to throw crap at them.
