I'm speechless. joined the group against it though
all we can do is to continue to report the sight and hope for the best!
Looks like the page has been overtaken by cyclists. I'm joining to increase the takeover.
lol. I see the humor though. I guess im an a$$h0le
This is disgusting, to make humor of a crash that killed somebody. However, I'm hopeful this is just facebook humor as normal
it's facebook. it's not like it matters.
It's Facebook. Just don't post a pic of a mommy breastfeeding her baby.
Yes, just facebook. And those people are just *******s. Don't forget the world is full of them!

The bigger problem is that society feels they have the right to silence something that they deem offensive. The first amendment provides us freedom of speech, not freedom from being offended.

I'd much prefer to call out an ******* when I see one, rather than raising my hand to taddle and then hope for someone or something to come along and silence whatever has "offended" me. Thank you first amendment.

Now in this particular case, I know that facebook has terms and policies blah blah blah but that's all subjective, right?

So just join the group and call them *******s. It might give you more sense of satisfaction than just wishing someone would take the page down.

Facebook allows people with the lowest IQs and meanest spirits to do whatever they want without any consequences of how they are viewed in society.

It doesn't surprise me one bit. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a bunch of anti-mtb groups there too.
It's not facebook, that's just the internet as a whole.
I agree with the 1st ammendment stance, and that was my first thought on this. Although I dont want to make people angry and start an argument, but this groups message is borderline as it advocates violence. I would never let this get under my skin. Im sure thats their goal.

Except for groups like this that can be created somewhat anonymously, Facebook doesn't allow people to speak without consequence because all their friends, family and coworkers who are friends with them can see it. The actual problem is just that people don't care and probably act like that most of the time in "society" anyway and/or that they are too stupid to think through who can see the things they normally only say to certain groups of people in real life
Great. So when all the jacktards on that FB group act on their anti-bike sentiment they can go to prison. Just like this Medical Doctor from LA did last week: LA Road Rage Doctor Gets 5 Years.

Having followed this story from it's beginning I didn't think anything would happen to this guy: in his 60's, MD, kinda wealthy, lives in car friendly Los Angeles, the cyclists didn't die. I was pretty happy, but surprised that he was given 5 years. I doubt that decision would have been played out elsewhere, but it's a big start.
you really this worked up about a FB group? if someone is going to go run over a bike because facebook says its ok, than we have bigger problems.

on that note...there was a seriously irritating group of roadies riding 3 abreast in front of me today and traffic in the other lane was moving too fast to dart around them. i really wanted to throw crap at them.

Got the vein in you temple throbbing did it? I'll bet it slowed you down oh, 10-15 seconds. Doesn't that s**t just piss you off?

It's not the internet, it's the human specie...
Silly and childlike.

So act the same. If porn and other nasties are not allowed, why don't you all start spamming the site. If only one or two do it, it won't be effetive. But if everyone does it, won't the page get shut down?

Like I said, silly and childlike.:D
Just remember, the internet allows anyone to be an A-hole. Really the only solution is to out A-hole them. haha...

For real though, if you don't feed the trolls, they have no power. Just ignore them.
