Generally, I either descend Revolution.climb Salamander/Manzanita, or I reverse it.
Whats your favorite loop? Does it include any of the outer trails?
The bad news is all of these trails aren't "sanctioned" by the Mid-Pen.bigboulder said:Never heard of any of those......I don't get down to the Bay much anymore but I would love to get a tour some time...please post in advance next time you do that stuff....would love to join ya some time....
My favorite Skeggs "double" loop is pretty standard I guess
start @ CM2...take sierra morena? (whatever the top ridge trail that follows skyline) out to Fir Trail to Resolution to El Corte to North Leaf to Meth (up.....and over) to Manzanita (seems like every where I ride in has a manzanita trail) to cross cut.....then back up to CM2....tons o fun!

I haven't seen many trails off limits to riding at Skeggs.Ive got a few different maps over the years and I thought everything was cool except some handicap accessable trails near the top.Ive ridden here off and on for the last 12 years and the only "nonsanctioned" trails I was aware of were all the freeriders trails....Anyway to get back on the point,Any good "loops" need to include Southleaf and Virginia mills trails. These will give you the most technical riding in the park(legal,I think) and probably the most climbing.bigboulder said:the map you are talking about? I only have the old El Corte Map that has been around for years.
