I've been using the same helmet for road and trail for the last year, but I'm upgrading my road lid to a Giro Prolight. I don't want to take that on the trail since it's more likely to take some non-impact dings, so it's time for a trail specific lid.

What are you using? What do you like? What would you pick up for the trails if money were no object (it is, of course... just curious)?

The last two helmets I've had were made by Schwinn and purchased at Wal-mart. They are the only ones that fit my head. I really wanted a Bell Influx, however it didn't fit right.

Go to a LBS and try on all the helmets. Get the one that is most comfortable.

I have a bell variant, one of the 08 ones I think. They might still be on sale at Jenson, i think i got mine for like $40 or 50
