Hey Folks,
How hard is it to do routine maintenance on a Fatty SL headshock?. Are there any manuals or websites that will walk me thru it?

Pick the fatty that you have in the instructions section, and it might have a diagram in it. If not, im sure someone here does.

what does it mean when the cartridge still holds air (100+ psi) but bottoms out easily?

Bottoms out means not enough air.

Are you 220lbs + ?

nope. i'm only 120#

Then I'd have at look at your shock pump. If you say it holds it's air and have 100psi air in it, the only way I see it can bottom out is if you drop 10 foot + drops or descend 45°+ hills
Seriously , when you remove your pump some will loose air, maybe yours ?

negative, ghostrider. pump is good. measures pressures correctly. checked it on my scalpel

Sounds like you need new seals, when was the last time you had a Cannondale shop or Cannondale do a seal overhaul? The seals could become porous and leak air after long periods of time. Cannondale reccomends that the seals be replaced once a year.
