I didn't want to bother George with this so thought I would see if anyone here knew the answer.

In the documentation a 50k pot is recommended. What would be the effect of changing to a say a 25k or 100k pot. I think the 25k pot would dim half as fast, but want to make sure that is the case or if it will even work.

Thanks again

With a smaller potentiometer the light will be more dimmed when 't potentiometer is turned to the max, you could use one, but then you also have to change the onboard trimpot.

So if it gets to max way faster than I want it to. I might be able to get away with it. I am looking for a better dimming capability than I have now. It seems to go from full bright to full dim in a very small section of the sweep. I am looking to maximize the sweep area of the pot. Ideas?

similar question - if I want dimming, but just want it on a switch, how do I figure out what value resistor (both Ohm and wattage) to use?
