Hey all,

I've had so much great help on this site Looking for some suggestions for tires for my Giant Yukon 2 to use for the non-winter months. Right now I have Maxxis Colossus 4.5. I really like the wide tire ride, I'm not as into being quick lol But these tires I think are classed for snow mostly. Any suggestions for an 'all-purpose/season tire' that is 27.5/4.5 that won't break the bank?

Kenda juggernauts come in the same labeled size. And are pretty cheap, also lightweight and not the best for certain trail conditions (I've read the last part, haven't experienced it personally)

The Maxxis Minion FBF's are great for summer use also.

For a 4.5 Summer tire the Bontrager Barbegazi are often recommended, check out the Fat Bike Forum, lots of threads on tire choices.

I got jumbo Jim's for $60 each on sale. Best 3 season tire IMHO. Not horrible in snow but many options are better than them for snow use. For warm seasons, I'll never use anything other than JJs on my fatty

Very limited experience and I have a sample size of one. However, and FWIW, I just picked up a Kona Wozo with the 3.8 Minions. It's my first fat bike and there was zero learning curve on my local trails. I don't miss my 26" full squish at all.
