I bought a fat bike for local winter riding in parks, but I've been watching some YouTube videos and fatbike touring seems like a cool idea...it's basically like road touring, just in conditions a road wouldn't be good for - gravel roads, dirt tails etc.

Anyone have any suggestions for a short fat bike tour- 1 or 2 days near Calgary? Looking for warm weather suggestions.

Thanks.

My first two thoughts would be:

. Along the high Rockies trail
. Look at that route from Banff to fernie/the border that makes up the great divide trail

Good suggestions above.

The Elbow loop is a good one-day trip. Or extend it a bit and ride one side of the loop to Tombstone then across to Elbow Lake Campground for the night (gorgeous stretch, and fat bike recommended). Then back to Tombstone and ride the other side of the loop back to your car. Easy overnighter.
