Ok so I am building a new bike. It is a black X-caliber and I am trying to decide whether to put white brakes on it or not...

Stupid question I know but damn I want it to stick out but not be ugly.

It's a 29'er...it's always going to be ugly.

I always now go with plain colours on components and pop things with a coloured frame...

If it's really that up in the air for you, you might just go with whatever color you can get the best deal on.

Whafe you may be right maybe a little customization with anodized parts might be the way to go.

Actually, if you check weights on wheels, (slightly off topic) the white powder coat weighs more. Would it be unreasonable to extrapolate that white brakes would also weigh more?
