Count me in the same camp. How long do you think before the DST debate becomes a liberal v conservative, or whatever other polarizing classification someone can come up, issue?

FWIW Washington voted to not observe DST but since it is federal we keep observing it and can't get out of it without the fed letting our state do so. I have lived in 2 parts of this country for the majority of my life that didn't observe DST, one being Saskatchewan and the other being Arizona. It wasn't until I moved to Washington that I experienced it .it is a really bad idea that makes no sense in our less agrarian society that we "enjoy" now. It should go.

While the true answer is hidden at the top of a frosty peak 25k feet high, I'm thinking the opposite. XC riders are sporty and in a hurry. Sneakers. Enduro riders are more chillaxed and likely to be wearing flats.

But flats ARE sneakers and your Fine Italian Leather clipless shoes with a BOA closure are more like loafers. 🤯

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but by definition you are incorrect. That description is directly off the web page of every "fancy, lightweight, XC Racer Boy, $400, carbon" shoe description.

California voted to keep permanent DST in 2018 by a 62% margin. Another dozen states have passed similar legislation, initiatives etc.

It's actually one of the few things that most of our fractured nation agrees on.

Seems like it would be an easy win for legislators…

It’s all about money, the number one advocate for daylight savings time is your local chamber of commerce.

More daylight after work = more sales

I miss riding after work, but adding an hour to my morning still works, though it’s colder.

I absolutely hate it. Nothing worse than getting off work and it is dark! Give me permanent Daylight savings, I want light later in the evenings. Maybe I need to winter in the southern hemisphere.

NZ looks nice.

I feel sorry for all the pharmacy workers, having to reset all those tiny time release pills one hour.

And the Stonehenge caretakers in the UK! Moving those giant stone pillars one hour!

Be that as it may, how many are riding tonight?

I only have one Boa closure with velcro over the toe and a nylon shank. I don't think I was much faster in carbon shoes, especially during hike a bike.
