My Banshee Scream frame had a Pig DH Pro headset on it and I took it off to put on my Chris King. Should I still get the head tube chased/reamed?
chasing unnecessary and irrelevant -- only threads get chased. no threads on your headtube.

reaming? for what? did your headtube shrink?

facing? only if you ovalized the tube. shouldn't need but the original facing after the frame is built. the metal should NOT alter after its original facing. if it did, you probably have a screwed frame.

1. Yes, chasing threads is not needed on a head tube.

2. Reaming is part of the process of facing the headtube, not because it shrinks, it is used to ensure the exact inside diameter So the headset fits properly. It clears leftover debris like paint.

3. Facing only if it's ovalized? That's where you are wrong. Facing is done to make the top and bottom of the headtube parallel. It should be done with ALL headsets if you want the best performance. Most frames are faced from the factory...before they paint them. So facing is done to also remove paint.

A side note. Chris King will not warranty headsets if you do not have the facing and reaming done.

Oh yeah, one more thing.....

Soul Cycles frames come with the headtube and bottom bracket shell faced-chased-and reamed!
