My Banshee Scream frame had a Pig DH Pro headset on it and I took it off to put on my Chris King. Should I still get the head tube chased/reamed?
You should always do it.dirtmerchant said:My Banshee Scream frame had a Pig DH Pro headset on it and I took it off to put on my Chris King. Should I still get the head tube chased/reamed?
Especially with a King!Beau said:You should always do it.

chasing unnecessary and irrelevant -- only threads get chased. no threads on your headtube.dirtmerchant said:My Banshee Scream frame had a Pig DH Pro headset on it and I took it off to put on my Chris King. Should I still get the head tube chased/reamed?
1. Yes, chasing threads is not needed on a head tube.gonzostrike said:chasing unnecessary and irrelevant -- only threads get chased. no threads on your headtube.
reaming? for what? did your headtube shrink?
facing? only if you ovalized the tube. shouldn't need but the original facing after the frame is built. the metal should NOT alter after its original facing. if it did, you probably have a screwed frame.
