The Diablo is now in its fourth edition as it claims 1100 Lumens with a run time of one hour. It is still the light with the most polished construction and most functional helmet mount.

However, it is under attack from a whole host of self-contained lights that exhibit longer run times and bigger beam patterns. The Diablo is still tops in brightness with a measured 920 Lumens but it's also the most expensive one at $299.

Helmet mounting is done with a snap-in pivoting ball system. Once installed, the light can be popped in and it can be adjusted in any direction. It rides a bit high on the helmet but it can pop off in the even of a collision with a low hanging branch. The light can be easily used as a trail flashlight too since it's so easy to access.

We photographed the lights in the same location setting with the same camera settings. The photos were taken in the back yard that is approximately 25 yards long. These photos feature many objects and a distinct background to analyze detail and beam pattern.
