Try to explain this to the wife - went to Stif last week to buy some new folks (Fox Vanilla 32RLC) for my 2 week old specialised Pitch. Walked out with Ibis mojo. It was made up for one of the staff, has full XTR spec along with wheels and hubs. What a bike, wanted it in the Guiness but only had Pesto, but what the heck still looks great and was'nt prepared to wait. Went riding that night near bye, never stopped

Spent all weekend at Theford (live in Norwich) and enjoyed every minute, looking to find some local guys to ride with - please let me know if you ride in the norwich/norfolk area.

Hoping to go to wales next week and give a real good ride, will post pics soon:thumbsup:

Easy way to justify any purchase... say that you got a super great deal, toss in a few 5-6 hundred bucks (in this case) to the total and say that they offered you a deal of a lifetime, 5-6 hundred off the cost... no way you can pass that up. Works for me because my wife has no idea what bikes and parts cost.

It amuses me that you were originally going over there to, you know, just buy a new set of forks for your brand new bike.

I was trying to decide if I should tell my wife how much my Mojo SL WTF cost until we went shopping for some bike bits and bobs and she pointed out a $3000 bike and exclaimed, "How much? For a bike?!" then looked at me with raised eyebrows. I immediately calculated the correct response and replied, "Mine was cheaper".

Promise to her that she can ride it anytime she wants! Then let her go buy some new shoes!
If that doesn't work and things get iffy, you have an extra place in your bed for the bike!
