I sent my fork in to Fox about 3 weeks ago for seal replacement. The right side of the fork was pumping oil out around the upper seal.

Fox contacted me about a week ago and asked if I wanted the left side stanchion replaced to fix the gouges. I said, "No, that side isn't leaking either air or oil." They quoted me a price I couldn't pass up.

Got all the seals replaced, an oil change, all new uppers (new star nut, and steerer cut to length) AND a new lower casting. They even remembered to transfer the bearing race to the new upper.

Total price? $213.

That is a pretty good deal but sounds like a mistake on their part as they charge ~$200 for the QR15 lowers.

The stanchions/crown are a single piece so they just can't replace one, I assume.
