I’m maxed out for spacers in my X2 according to Fox’s chart, but I’d like to get more progression out of the shock if I could. What would be the potential downsides of adding one more?

Fox says two is the max for my stroke/eye to eye. I believe there is room for a third in the can, so I’m curious to know if I’m at risk of damaging the shock somehow, or if it’s more just a ride quality thing.

Thanks in advance!

You could blow out the canister on a big hit. It really depends on how heavy you are and how much psi your running. Just fyi if your shock has the red spacer installed that restricts adding more volume spacers that red spacer takes up about the same volume as one of the orange ones.
