Hi all,

Apologies for posting this but can’t get much sense from the guy in the store. If ordering on-line from Evans Cycles do they offer free returns?

The guy on the store said if you order in store and return to store they will only offer an exchange. 🤔

LINK: Returns Policy

RETURN – ONLINE
For items purchased online, you can send them back for a full refund within 28 days, provided it has not been used or fitted, and is returned with any packaging that form part of the goods with a valid proof of purchase.
If your item is faulty, please complete and include the returns form with your goods when sending it back to us. Please retain your proof of postage as we will need that to reimburse you the cost of the return for the faulty items. This will be done once the return has been processed.
Here's the return address:
Evans Cycles
Returns Dept,

35 Kettlebridge Road,
Sheffield.
S9 3BZ.

I’ve read that! 🤦🏼‍♂️ But it doesn’t say if you have to pay the postage! Tredz and a few other bike shops make you pay to return. I don’t understand why if you buy something in store they won’t provide a refund (only an exchange). I’ll order two sizes and hope for the best! Cheers!

Technically the law allows customers to inspect an item without cost to themselves, therefore return postage should be covered by the retailer.

However, this is completely stupid IMO. Complete killer for small businesses like mine.
