In my quest for a cheaper tire I have been running an ethirteen semi slick in a their downhill casing. The tire has worked great and been very tough.

I'm getting ready to order some more but curious about the ethirteen enduro casing.

For anyone that has run various ethirteen tires, how is the Enduro casing compared to a maxxis double down or specialized grid gravity?

Exo won't cut it for me and I need a double down equivalent, but the downhill has been so tough I wonder if I could shave some weight with the Enduro casing.

Thanks.

The enduro casing is fairly stout and feels similar to a DD casing to me. Only complaint is it seems a bit porous using Stan's. Does Schwalbe make a downhill casing Rock Razor? Their Super Trail casing looks decent but haven't tried it.

I agree, ethirteen are very porous, I have also had experience on both the enduro and DH casing where I had a sidewall blowout on the enduro casing, and a bead split on the DH casing. I do not think the quality of their tires are up to par at the moment.
