Does anyone have any experience with this company: Downhill Bike Tours in Estes Park, Colorado | New Venture Cycling

We are staying a few nights in Estes Park this summer and I wanted to try and get some mountain biking in. Since I won't have my bike with me I thought I may go this route.

I'm cross posting this in the Colorado/Front Range section as well.

Thanks!

If I remember correctly, those are road bike tours. My in-laws are from Fort Collins, which is about 40 minutes away down US 34. I've inquired about the riding up there and haven't seen or heard of much. There really isn't all that much in Estes Park proper, aside from a bit of singletrack southeast of downtown. Down 36, towards Lyons and Boulder, you get some cool stuff at Hall and Heil, but that's a good distance from Estes.

Basically, they take you to one of the highest roads in the park via shuttle, and you ride back down to town.

Trail Ridge is a real nail biter for riding in the busy season! Lots of people (rubbernecking) on a narrow road! often in Winnebagos! I think riding up the Poudre Canyon would be cool. You could still do it with a shuttle if you want.
If you wanted to travel a distance, Independence Pass out of Aspen through Leadville is awesome. You can also go over the "old" Loveland Pass and ride all the way to Denver.
