Hi

I am currently looking at buying a Specialized Epic Expert Carbon. I am having trouble trying to figure whether I should go the small or the medium size. My LBS says small, but they only have a medium in the shop, which I am going to try as soon as possible. I know that most shops does not have a small Epic in stock, so it is kind of hard to try one.

What's your opinion? Small or medium?

Height: 170 cm ~ 5' 7"
Inseam: 78,1 cm ~ 2' 6,7" or 30.7 in.

Of course I can always get a longer/smaller stem or a setback seatpost, but out of the box which would suit me the best. And of course it would be best to try both.

We need a default response to this. Go find a bike shop that has a small in stock. You are about to drop $5000 dollars on a bike, you better be sure it is exactly the one you want. Don't listen to a bunch of goons on the internet because everybody has different opinions and preferences. Start calling around, somebody has one. Make your own decision.
