Epic Mountain ride from socal to norcal

I'm looking to do an epic tour of california via MTB. I'd like to start in San Diego and work my way as far north as i can go, trying to ride as much trail as possible along the way. I was kinda thinking of riding up and fly/train/bus it back, but i'm not opposed to doing a big loop if something looks good.
It's a ride of a lifetime for me, and since i'm not working right now, it's the perfect time to do it. Anyone up for going? I'm a fairly strong rider, i've done the Brian Head Epic 100, and i raced Expert single speed in the Cal State Series a few years ago and won it. I'd like to ride with someone that would be a good match, so we dont spend most of the time waiting for eachother on the trail. A fast sport rider would be ok with me.
I will be riding my single speed since it's the only working bike i have. you can ride whatever you want, gears are fine.

I would want to do some riding with whoever wants to go before hand.
My goal is to camp as much as possible, so please be ok with that. I'm on a budget.
Time frame? within a month of now, and plan on about a week long trip.

What little I know about mountain biking in San Diego, I would try to connect the stuff south of San Diego into a route.

Noble Canyon-Cuyamaca Area Loop would be great this time of year. 3-4 days, 150-200 miles of bikepacking fun.

If you need some motivation, you can read this account of two nut jobs.

Thanks for the link!
I'm pretty burned out on the same old san diego trails. i'd really like to ride north and cover some distance. Maybe 100 miles a day if i can handle it.
