Is there any difference in the Epic Marathon Frame and the S-works Frame?

Thanks in advance, Rhys

S-works has an M5 alloy frame while marathon has M4. M5 and M4 just denotes what metals are alloyed with the aluminium. M5 is lighter.

S-works also has a carbon link.

Personally I would get the Marathon. S-works is overpriced, the money you save could be invested into better componants (or a coach if you really want to get faster). If you got too much money, get the S-works.

S-works is lighter. By a good bit too. I'll find out tomorrow the difference and let you know. It was worth the extra $$ in my opinion.

There are more differences, like the titanium brake studs and the alloy water bottle screws for example! I put a size "L" S-Works Epic and an M4 (replacement) frame on the scale with all the hardware (studs, seatpost clamp, screws). The weights were the following:

S-Works: 2585 gr
M4 (Painted): 2760 gr

The anodized M4 should be about half way between the two.
