Hi.
Could someone explain please: I see some enve 27.5 rims with 31 mm inner width have weight about 629 gramm. Price is ... well you know. I see lot of known brand carbon rims same characteristics but they have weight about 400-430-450 gramm.
Why ENVE than?

The only rim that weights 629g is M930, which is DH specific rim.

Are you comparing DH rims to XC rims from other manufactures? Enve M630 (AM/Trail) rim weights only 383g

Most of the high end CF rims (i.e. Reserve, Zipp, Synthesis, etc) have gotten pretty heavy these days. It's just the reality of CF if you want it to survive.

I'm building a new set of wheels and the Carbon Fan rims weigh about 430 grams (29ers) but I'm going to always keep noodles in them which provides considerable protection.
