Enduro + CNC + PLUS + Sunday Afternoon

So, I had some time to kill this afternoon at the shop while I was waiting for some software updates to download. Figured I'd do something fun seeing how this past week has been such a train-wreck for me with all of my obligations.

Anyway, people have been asking if it's possible to fit the new Monarch PLUS to the Enduro, and I know that a few of the RS riders are using them, so I went to work(fun)! A little CAD work, a little CAM work, a HAAS CNC mill and not having to answer the phone all day. Voila!

To answer the question......Yes!

You must have enjoyed the little vid of the S works enduros as well to motivate your busy Sunday :) good stuff.
nice, great job : )

Is the stroke still pre-set to 54mm, or do you take full advantage of the actual stroke length?
Sweet!

Looks great Darren. I put in an order for one of these on Thursday...can't wait to try it out. When I get that I will send my leaky rp23 to you for an overhaul and do a comparison between the two.:D
What type of riding would make the Monarch Plus better than the RT3?
Very nice how much?
It sells for $595 + shipping. That's custom built to rider spec.

Thanks. Yes, still 54mm stroke.

You put in an order for a PLUS? Ha, we didn't even have an application yet!

The PLUS offers near coil performance in an extremely lightweight package. If you're using your Enduro for more aggressive terrain with longer descents, than this shock is the hot ticket.

Online order?

Darren... I believe I placed an order. Spoke with Christine Monday, she said you might get to them last week and I should put an order online...which I did. I'll call you in a bit.
Looks like I know what my next upgrade is. :D

Also can you tell me what stroke you start with before you reduce it? (8.5"x2.25" or 8.5"x2.5")? And are you just using a spacer on the damping shaft?

VERY interesting indeed. My 2007 Enduro SL's rear shock has been a constant source of frustration. Hearing so many people replacing it and having the bike really open up... Maybe this Summer I'll be rid of it...
Anxiously waiting for the fedex delivery tomorrow!
Best upgrade by far!

Absolutely love it! Super plush ride and bottomless feel. Set it up with the push provided settings and it works like a dream and highly recommend it. Ordered the DH tune.
Darren-

If I already own a 8.5" x 2.5" Monarch Plus can you convert it to work with the 2011 Enduro?

I bought one for my 2006 Enduro and am curious if I update to the new model if I can keep the shock.

Thanks!

Forget the shock, I want to hear more about the moped conversion ;)
