just some some new elixer cr's on my bike, but the pad contact adjuster is fairly hard to turn, it also twists the hose when i try.
is it possible to loosen the compression gland housing (not the actual compression gland for the hose, the part that the compression screws into) a little to free it up or will it leak if i do this, or is there another fix.
thanks.

Best I've found is to pull the rubber boot down while making adjustments.

It will leak. Try loosening the bleed screw a smidge & use the torx in the bleed screw to give yourself some leverage to twist. It's likely the bleed screw is touching the internal cylinder.
