I've found a set of 2006 Hayes El Camino brakes for a good price that I was thinking of putting on my Rush .
I currently have the stock Haye's brakes from my 2001 Jekyll on the Rush and was thinking that as Haye's high end brake set , this would be an improvement .

BUT , after doing some research into the El Camino's , they seem to get more bad reviews then good (fading/poor quality/etc.) .
Although most of this was for the earlier versions , some have made the same complaints about the newer ones as well .
Does anyone have any experience with the E/C's ??

No experience with the ECs. I also heard a lot of bad things about them.

On the other hand, some friends are running the Shimano LX. These brakes have really good modulation and stopping power.

Jenson is blowing these things out.
