Dear All,
The Director and Coaches of the El Cerrito High School Mountain Biking Club wish to announce the addition of a new member of our Staff. Anne Revoire, avid cyclist and a recent graduate of a masters program at Cal, has agreed to join us in our work with the Club. While Anne will work with all of our riders her primary work will be with our Girls.
We met Anne at last weekend’s Norcal Coaches Clinic at Camp Tamarancho. Our friends with the Berkeley Team pointed her in our direction and we are lucky, indeed, to have to found her interest in us. Jeremiah, Lincoln, and Michael were able to spend considerable time with her and all came away with a very good feeling about her fit with our Club.
We hope to have her join us for our Wednesday Practice or our Thursday Lunch Meeting before the Holidays. Our coaching Staff is very excited at the prospect of adding Anne’s special energy to our already successful Club. We hope you all will welcome her and look forward to being a part of all we do.

That is the formal announcement. Inside we are jumping up and down. I can feel my shoulders relax and the girls are very excited. My years of experience with people tell me to wait and see but to hell with that. Anne is bright, kind, athletic, beautiful, and sincerely wants to help. This is good!

Helpful hands

As things are coming together for our Girls on the MTB Team help comes in many forms. Chuky's contacts with her Kenda Racing Team have born some nice fruit. Several of her mates from around the country have come forward to offer to be Pen Pals to our Girls. Such a gift provides a level of contact and character of support we had not anticipated. We look forward to hooking these women racers up with our girls through our new coach.

Anne joins us Wednesday

Looks like our new Girls Coach will join our girls for a our Wednesday ride and our Thursday Lunch Meeting. This will give them all tiem with each other and break th ice. After that we won't be together until after the Holidays.

Hi everyone! I'm excited to be the new ECHS coach!

I rode with the team Wednesday and was at the team meeting Thursday. So far, I'm thrilled to be a part of this group and am really looking forward to the season. I'll definitely need support so I'll be checking in to the forum regularly. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!
