Boy the lister is stretching the "Brand New" a bit on this one (look close at the pictures).

Hahaha yeah the title is misleading, but in the description he does state the frame is used. I wonder what reserve this person has it set at...
The frame itself has seen about 100 miles of riding and is in perfect condition with just a few minor scratches.

- Description from above linked Ebay Ad.

The tires don't look new though. He probably mean the drive-train/hardware is new.
That's some decent cable rub and sticker wear for 100mi. Must have been really muddy :D
I just thought about this a little more.

OP is right, this is a jacked ebay listing.

Seller says: It's NEW... with a frame that has only 100 miles on it.

That's messed up. i'd be more inclined to be OK with it if the FRAME was NEW and the parts were used.

But the fact is, it's misrepresented. Period. Ebay makes you select a condition, and he selected NEW. It's not. It has 100 miles on it, and some replaced parts.

Fail.
that's what the description is for (and pictures).
with all new parts and 100 miles on the frame, new seems like a better description than used. ebay doesn't have a "99% new" box to check.
don't buy it.
oh... and don't read any craigslist bike ads either. you'd probably spend the rest of your life in front of your computer.
I like how a large chunk of the stickers are missing from the non drive side. Nice.
That's got to be some of the hardest 100 miles worth of wear I have ever seen on a frame.

How can I put this nicely? . . . . . . . Me thinks that if the seller were given an enema, the bloke would disappear completely.
Ya but that frame isn't anywhere 99% new. It has a large scatch on the right side, scratched away stickers and scatches along the seatstays, wear marks on the headtube. The fork doesn't look new either. I was just saying that it was misleading because they draw you in with "Brand New".

i get a laugh at the craigslist folks here in Houston they will buy 5 bike bundle from the police auction http://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/list/current?orgid=4154 for $25 then just hours later list each bike for $50 on craigslist although cheesy i'm willing to bet that these entrepreneurs do fool some idiots.
do the cops take kids bikes and resell them? shame.
Wow, my Niner didn't even lose that much paint in 100 miles...

most of those are stolen and end up as resturant workers transportation.

yes we have a bad illegal immigration problem here in Texas.
To me BRAND NEW means never more than a parking lot ride.
