I've got an '06 Marzocchi 66 RC2X. Can I transport my bike around, in the back of my truck, laying on it's side, or does it need to upright, in a rack of some sort?

I usually carry it mounted in a fork mount rack, but I'd rather it not be so conspicuous, when in the parking lot at work. Especially since I can't have my eyes on it 100% of the time.
