I believe there is a trail somewhere in Salisbury. Never been there but I've heard its not too bad. The only other trail I know of is at tuckahoe state park, which is a decent drive from there. I've only ridden there once but it was fun and I will def be going again. Here is a link to the DNR page http://dnr2.maryland.gov/publiclands/Pages/eastern/tuckahoe.aspx.
Salisbury's a pretty bad locale for mountain biking. It's real flat and the summers are pretty miserable- hot, humid, and lots of bugs. I hear road riding is really good there. Lots of backcountry roads for exploring.
Sorry to say, but you're in the middle of an absolutely terrible area for mountain biking. Best advice: get a road bike. Its incredibly flat on the entire eastern shore, I don't Tuckahoe is worth the drive really either. I stay in Cambridge for work a lot, and bring my road bike with me.
Second best advice: Go across the bridge every weekend and make friends with someone near Ellicott City and crash at their house while you ride Patapsco.
