eastern canadian perspective riding somewhere else...

change of pace here... rode somewhere else this week... it was like opposite land compared to my green eastern canadian experence...

it was hot, crazy hot... 45c raises everything to a new level. i had to carry two huge water bladders. also your camelback kit varied a bit. pre ride check list was tools, tubes, water... pistol/ammo? huh i said? recomended for security they said... i really didn't want to carry it due to the extra weight, though i think they trying to make a pack mule out of me.

here's the ride group

up in the mountains

rode on this roman aqueduct, the area has had people living there for over 4000 years!

trail goes down to the river

rode down to a border, had to wait until security patrols passed to snap a quick pic. don't want to get detained in this area.

date palms on the ride back to town

post ride eats where awesome...

Whoa! Sure is refreshing to see other riding conditions/landscapes. Awesome pics! Nice distraction from the bullying and mud-slinging.
9/10

If you would have had a picture of beer, I would have given you a perfect 10

Nice pics.....
yeah the beer situation was sad, though i did crack a "la fin du monde" as soon as i got back from the airport.

we did try a ride by the dead sea but it was to friggin hot so went for a swim instead

the landscapes are wild there... thats an old roman seige fort down there

the water is heavy and thick, almost like oil. you bob like a cork.

all along the shoreline there are these crazy mineral formations

don't leave your bikes near the water...

nice pics! The dead sea is a funny thing, when it's so hot outside you think it'd be refreshing to take a dip but it feels more like swimming in a warm thick bath...I heard the Judea Valley in the Golan is a great place to ride but haven't been there with my bike yet...someday hopefully!

Awesome pics, what parts of the country did you visit? From the photos, looks like the Galil, Jerusalem area and maybe the Negev?
