Eagle's Rest, Setting Sun
For some reason, I never bring a camera along on night rides. Well tonight, I was heading up to a beautiful mountaintop just in time for sunset, so I brought the camera along.
My canon A70 actually died last weekend, suffering an E18 error that has a reputation for rendering a camera useless, but for some reason, it started working again. There were some glitches in some of my photos, but all in all she seems to be working for now. Damn, I was ready to upgrade to an S410.
Wednesday is the usual night ride night, but I had to work, so tonight, it was just Albee and me.
We climbed up a Goodman Creek road, crossing the trail where it becomes the Eagles Rest trail. We continued climbing to the upper road crossing where we would climb singletrack to the summit.

Albee was a little tired after having to catch up with me. He was a few minutes late, so I left him, knowing he'd catch me sooner or later

A teaser looking down the Goodman Creek trail. it'll be dark when we come down this trail, so I snagged a picture when we passed.

Here's Al cleaning a tight switchback near the summit.

Finally at the top with plenty of time to enjoy the sunset. Al basks in the glow. Mt June in the background.
