Controversial for sure, but wondering what the official word is on using Emtb on Whistler valley trails, Squamish, and or Shore? Thinking about trying a demo on a future trip, but I don’t want to break any laws/piss too many of our nice Northern Neighbors off....

Officially you are fine on the shore, Squamish and Whistler valley trails outside of Sproatt alpine (Into the Mystic/Lord of the Squirrels). Some locals, myself included, do not like ebikes and the risks they potentially pose to trail access/user conflict. I am not an asshole to people who choose to ride them (outside of prohibited areas like Lord of the Squirrels and Cumberland) and honestly most people will at worst ignore you, hostility is pretty unlikely...
