Are the cassettes from this company good? I am looking at swapping out my 11 speed 10-42 Sram cassette for a 9-46 for improved range of gears. E*thirteen has two options, TRS Plus at $200 and a newer Helix model at $289. Are they both good cassettes? Is the Helix worth the extra $89? Thanks in advance.

I don’t know what the difference is between the cassettes, but E Thirteen is a very reputable company. I’ve at quite a few things from them and had great luck with all of them.

Id say go for it, just make sure your derailleur can handle the extra range.

Yeah, e*thirteen 11 speed cassettes are solid for the price. They are a 2 piece construction and
are harder to get on and off. But that's what got the using them. They sell the aluminum cogs separately so you don't need to buy a whole new cassette each time!
You need a chain wipe to lock on and of!

I've owned both of those and although I give full credit to E13 for the idea, gear spacing, shifting quality & warranty, I've destroyed both of those cassettes multiple times in short order.
Personally, I'm done with E13 products.

I've had good luck with the 11 speed helix. I bought a backup once I was happy with it. Been riding the first one for over a year. Maybe 5000 miles all off road, and it still shifts very well. When you install, examine how the two parts of the cassette go together. They must be compressed together a bit and twisted. If you can see how they go together it's not difficult.

Running two TRS+ 11 speed cass with XX1 12 speed chains (suppose to work better) and they have been flawless and shift well.

I've had great success with the both the 1st gen TRS Race FW1TRA-100 and newer TRS Plus FW2TPA-101 9-46t e*thirteen cassettes. Some of my riding cronies did not have as much luck with the 1st gen and gave up on them altogether.

I ran those cassettes with XTR 11-speed shifter, M985 derailleur and Wolf Tooth GoatLink on my old FS bike. Moved that rear wheel over to my new 150mm FS ride with SRAM X1 derailleur recently and it shifts great.

I can vouch for the 12 speed (I assume 11-speed is about the same construction and quality) TRS+ and the Helix. Both are great and I love the 9-50 range that I get. They are easy to put on an XD Driver (no worries of cross threading), and I have put about 1000 miles on one set, and I just replaced the Aluminum cogs (the steel are still in great shape). I am currently using the TRS+ steel and have the new Helix Aluminums (I dont notice any difference). Some are saying they are not as durable... it is probably just a luck / perception thing.. I had a Sram XO1 Eagle and within 4 mo 2 of the teeth on the 50+ cog broke, my E13 are still going strong. Given the price point I'll be buying them again. Side note.... I ride mostly XC... no enduro, so I have never smashed them on rocks... and I dont do jumps etc.... so its mostly wear from riding.
