My bike came with truvativ double cranks, X0 10 speed derailleur and an slx dyna sys cassette. I guess I don't understand the difference between a dyna sys 10 speed cassette and a regular xt 10 speed cassette. Also could I put an X0 10 speed cassette on there?

I think I figured it out with hours and hours of research. Regular xt 10 speeds don't come in 11-36t.

Yep, you can use a SRAM 10spd cassette too

There is only one line of XT 10spd cassettes and they are all called "DynaSys".

Dyna-sys = Shimano Mountain 10 speed system, this includes SLX,XT,XTR

SRAM groups that are 10 speed: X7,X9,X0,XX

Front derailleurs, cassettes and chains are all interchangable between systems, but SRAM recommends using SRAM PC (PowerChain) 10 Speed for SRAM equipment.

And Shimano recommends using only a Dyna-Sys chain on a Dyna-Sys cassette
