Can I use a DX Driver ( http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.26111 ) to power a Cree MC-E Led or do I have to use something else. I'm using that exact driver to power some XR-E's and it works great just looking to get some more light. :madmax:
It's not ideal. Look for something that has a max output of 750mA to drive a series MC-E, or 2400-2800mA to drive a parallel MC-E. I *think* you can wire two of these together to get 2400mA, but don't know how you'd do this.
I currently have this powering 2 MC-E in 2S4P with a 2S Li-Ion battery. Works great.
You can run a single MC-E off 3.7v with this. But I would put a few Li-Ions in parallel to reduce the current draw on the batteries.
