DW Spot - TALAS 36 RC2 good match?

I am wanting to try a TALAS 36 RC2 for my DW Spot. It seems all the feedback has been positive. I have an opportunity to pick up a 36 at a good price? Should I give it a try?

As long as it is at least an 07, go for it, great fork for the Spot IMO. The man who owns PUSH runs it, so it's gotta be good, right :D

I want to see a list of all of the different forks you've tried on your spot;) If going big how about the lyrik? Seems like a popular option for the spot on SOMO.

I did not like the feel of the Lyric at all. I could probably get it to feel good, but out of the box (and this is compared to a well used 36 Talas) the 36 felt a little better when climbing. What is the AtoC of each. The Lyric felt tall!

Coil U-Turn, not 2-Step Air.

My "pro-core" review still stands:D

there's just no room for it in my sig:madman:
+1 for the Lyric

Coil u turn... at 160, my Spot felt more plush and more confident than the 32 Talas I had on there... now when my CCDB arrives...

I have tried three different forks on the DW Spot
1. 2009 Fox TALAS RLC 15 mm T/A 100-120-140 - ok
2, 2010 Fox Float 140 15mm T/A- did not like
3. 2010 Rock Shox Revelation U-Turn 110-150,0 mm T/A - Excellent
I've ridden;
Fox Talas 32 150 15mm TA
Lyric 2Step
Fox Vanilla 32 RLC 140
Fox Float RLC 140

I currently have one Dub Spot with the 2010 Lyric 2Step (the one 123 ProCore Hater dislikes)
And the 2010 Talas 150 on my other Spot.

Even though I have no experience with the 36 RL Talas I'd be willing to bet it would feel pretty good. I do like the feel of a heavier fork on the Spot, it just has a nice beefy feel with lots of rigidity. I can't believe somebody who rides a choppered out RFX with 180 on it could complain about a little 160 Lyric on a Spot, the nerve of some people! All kidding aside I like it fine but different strokes... GO for it but keep your current fork just in case or just for a change of pace.
