Had a good ride in Durham yesterday, cold but the trails are in great shape! Beats the heck out of watchin TV or sitting at the computer.
I almost think i like winter riding better than summer........er.........almost .

I know there are spots with ice down under, but the snow is deep enough to keep you on top and away from the ice.

There is enough snow for skiing i would say. Here are a few frame grabs from my helmet camera.

I was out Tuesday night, another 3 inches of soft stuff over the 4" packed in.
Also skied Glen Major on Sun. conditions were fine(some exposed roots)

What's the parking lot like at Durham in the winter? My little truck sucks in the snow, I can get stuck just about anywhere.

they plow and sand the parking lot so it should be no problem.

I will be there Sunday morning at 9:00. I try to be there every week.

Many people still riding mtb's in Durham? Or is it mostly skiers? I've never been there in winter, but want to try this weekend.
