Certainly do-able. I have only here say/2nd hand info. There were early reports of sponsored teams having to pull them down after every race, but this could well be old info (Pace were certainly unreliable when they worked)
The DT swiss forks are a bit more linear than others (like FOX and rockshox). One of the WW said he liked the fork for its weight, but not its damping properties.
