I emailed Stans and was told to go with the Plus-four system.
Thanks for getting back to me on this. I'm atempted to try the Ghetto approach. Any thought on rather to use a 20" or 24" tube with the X470 rim.

tube for what?
the stans kit has everything you need

This Rim Strips is for: Velocity VXC 29er, DT TK 7.1, WTB Dual Duty XC 700c, WTB Laser Disc Trail 29er, First generation ZTR 355 29er, This kit includes one pint of Tire Sealant, 2 molded rim strips with removable valve cores, 1 10yd roll of nylon spoke tape, decal, installation instructions Need any assistance?
