Hoping someone can tell me if my math is off...

So I'm interested in an xFusion Hilo sl dropper (I'm in the position to get one for just over $300) for my thumper (XL). I pulled out my current seat post, which is 400mm, and measured the length of tube underneath the collar. It measured 215mm. Looking at xFusion's site, I noticed the "insertion depth" on the sl (and the Hilo 100/125) is 217mm... That would be great, except the droppers measure 422mm. By my math, that means the lowest my saddle will run (at the highest point in travel) will be about 20mm higher than current. My saddle is already as high as I'd like it so if this is the case, that idea is scrapped. Further, it's hard to find info on insertion depth for these posts.

As you can see, the collar is pretty high on the thumper.

A Reverb can be had as short as 355mm for 100mm of drop and 380mm for 125mm. If all you need is 22mm less go with the 380mm Reverb.
