Hi,

I would like to fit a KS e20-i dropper to a Giant Talon 2021 frame.

First version is a dropper with a travel of 125mm and an insert of 239mm.
Second version is a dropper with a travel of 150mm and an insert of 269mm.
I prefer the second and longer version.
My concern is that the top screw that holds the bottle holder on the frame will interfere with the longer dropper, plz help me choose between the two.

ink: e20-i – KS

Tnx,

Gilad.

Measure the extended length you'll actually require. If you're not using the bottle holder then it can be removed but not worth the trouble IMO. A better solution is to source a dropper with less insertion. They're out there and have good features just like the KS.

I have a 31" inseam and had to return a 150mm dropper and go with a 125mm dropper instead. The boss for the water bottle prevents the dropper from being inserted deeper just another 15mm or so to be comfortable to ride. I was tempted to drill out the top boss so I could run a longer dropper. Ended up giving the GF my Talon so never got around to removing the boss.

I had the Giant Contact dropper. Not sure what the measurements were on it compared to the KS one you're looking at. If the It would have been nice to be able to use a 150 over the 125 but then again, the Talon is a XC bike. Heck, if I'd removed that boss, I think I would have been able to use a 180mm even.

Thanks for this thread. I have a M 2021 Talon 1, a 31inch inseam, and the Giant measurement guide for the Contact Switch allows me only the 100mm dropper as an option. I slam my seat as it is, and it still about 175-ish mm from the collar to the rail. Maybe the KS Lev 125mm would work for me.
