Hello, not familiar with the region at all (from the west coast), driving from Columbia SC to Richmond VA. I'll probably leave Friday and split the drive over two days. So where should I plan to ride on the way? Any events or rides going on this weekend?

All I know are some names from years of hanging on mtbr... Pisgah, Dupont, etc.. not much more than that.

Anyone riding in Columbia tomorrow (Thurs) evening?

Drive straight to Richmond and ride the trails at the James River. These are the best urban trails i've ever seen. 12 miles in the middle of downtown. There is even a brewery where you can start and finish the ride. Have fun.
