i replaced my front crank and bb with xt m752 cranks and an es71 bb. the old bb was a square 73 X113 and crank was a cheapo off a specialized. the new bb is an octalink 73 x 118. the chain rubbs on the top ring and on the bottom ring up front. i have adjusted the derailer to the max and it still rubs! another problem is that if my front is in 2 and the rear is in 4 it wont shift into the granny, but if i am in three in the back and two in the front and drop it into the granny it will go fine but it will still rub..............

You got recommendations for both if I remember correctly from the other thread...did you measure your chainline with the 118? I think the 113 was for a 47.5, 118 for a 50. Check out the chart and info at www.sheldonbrown.com/bbsize.html...
