Wondering if anyone's drilled out their LMs.I'm in the process of buying a Pugs with 2 complete wheelsets, and am considering trying to lighten one up for non-snow use. the one off-road ride I've done on it sold me- I had such a great time that I don't want to save it for snow!
I feel like I'm back in 1986 for asking this question...

That's odd. Usually people want the lighter rim to be for snow use.

I've heard (never actually seen) that people have cut the entire extra wall out of the rim.

They make the XC version if you would like a lighter one. It isn't that much more expensive to make it worth your time.
