Day 1. Arrive in Phx. Mis-communication and failure to consult Jezebel resulted in a minor out-and-back on the Superstition Hwy. We finally reached our destination and after some hasty bike maintenance we pedaled off for South Mountain. We did the Mormon/National thing and finished with a descent on Corona Loma in the dark. Good times.
Day 2. Many options were thrown around, but being able to ride to South Mountain from our gracious host's abode trumped any other rides that required driving. Our leader had a grandiose plan for the day, but ultimately our lust for trail was stronger than our off-season legs. Still, we spent 6+ hours on the mountain and were treated to a near hiker-free descent from Telegraph Pass to finish the day. [voice=monty burns]Excellent.[/voice]
Day 3. With ravaged legs and a near 7hr drive looming overhead we opted for a shortish 3hr loop at Pass Mountain. The views were stunning as was the weather for the third day in a row.
I'm over winter. It's just something to endure. I should have stayed in Phoenix. Need a roommate (or two) B?
