Shimano recommends a torque of 5-7 Nm (44-60 in. lbs.), but also say that for carbon frames "it may be necessary to lower the tightening torque in order to prevent damage to the frame."

Just wondering if Ibis has an official recommendation. I have a Ibis Mojo carbon.

I've looked, but I can't find anything.

Thanks.

Easy does it. Even lighter on the SLs with their grippy paint. Also, use some carbon paste and you can reduce required clamping force even more. (also on seat, bars and bar ends.)

I'll second that. Carbon assembly paste on the derailleur clamp. It's wonderful stuff. The paint is grippy enough but with the paste all you do is hand tighten the bolt ever so slightly.
