Hey all,
Does anyone know if the SJ FSR 05 is different than the 04? Other than the additional travel and colors, like is the frame same??? is the geometry the same?? Should I wait for the 05?? Any help would be awesome because I really want to get this bike.

Thanks a ton

For the '05 SJ 100 models: There are some minor changes, but the geometry is unchanged based on the catalog I saw. The '05 SJ Expert 100 now has the complete XT hydro disc brake set-up. The '04 had a mix of Deore/XT.

I'm sure there are other changes, mostly minor, on the SJ Comp and base models.
the 05 expert disc gets deore hydros again, you do not get a full xt w/ hydro set up until the pro
so let me get this strait

So the 2005 base stumpjumper fsr doesnt have a different shock or frame than the 04?? Also does the base SJ FSR in 05 have the same frame as the expert SJ fsr in 05? Thanks guys

I had to wait until I saw the '05 catalog again...way too many details contained within! :)

The catalog lists 765 calipers/rotors but, it just lists "Shimano" for the type of levers. I'm guessing Deore like they were on the '04.

Hey, at least the they upgraded the calipers so the pads/rotors should match up better...

According to the '05 catalog that my LBS has...the '05 base SJ now has the Fox Triad rear shock. The fork is still a Black Elite.

The 100mm frames should all be the same except for color.

One thing I did notice is that the upper rear shock mounting point is a little bit farther foward on the 120mm frames than it is on the 100mm frames.
