can someone give me the length or a 40 and a 888?

from axle to lower part of upper crown (part that touches top headset)?
and from inside of lower crown to inside of upper crown(length of steeter tube)?

Assuming you're talking about 2007 models...

Fox 40: 571mm Axle to crown.

Marz 888: 584mm Axle to crown.

Also, your crown to crown measurment is unnecessary as most all forks come with a really long steerer and you cut it to fit.
