Guys,

it's my time for a new pair. I'm 220 Lbs, agressive XC rider.
currently considering btw the 2000 and 4000.
i would like to hear cons and pros from guys that faced that dilemma.
I'm aiming at 2006 model with the Travel Management.

Thanks.

I have ordered 2000, but since I'm waiting for it 3 months now, I already got the new X.0 RD and twist shifters, Louise FR brakes + Goodridge kit and some other stuff that I used to have on my Jekyll. I think that 4000 is really expensive and I like the color of 2000 better.
The only difference other than components is titanium spring in the 4000 Lefty - no big deal IMO.

I've got an 05 Prophet 2000. I really liked the color of the 2000 a lot and the 4000, while seemed really sweet as well was just a bit out of my price range. So far I have replaced a lot of parts and most recently added the Crossmax SL rims that come on the 4000 - one part I really wanted. You can't go wrong with either, but the 2000 might leave you a bit of extra cash to upgrade as you see fit.

The big question is can you live with the dual control XT shifters/levers?
There are some differences, but I am not sure that the cost of the 4000 is worth it. I say get the 2000, and swap whatever you want to get your custom build.

Those are the modification I consider for the 2000:
Modifications:
Shifters - change to SRAM X.9 Trigger Shifters + Shimano XT Brake Levers Rear Derailleur - change to SRAM X.9 Handlebar - Easton MonkeyLite XC Composite high rise or FSA K-Force Riser

I'll be happy to get your comments.
