Where I was it was real crowded. Must have seen 10 people all day! A lot of first timers. They all said the same thing: it's so cool up here!

Climbers on the south side. Their parking lot was full.

Looking south.

I was looking for another way to the top, thought there might be a doable path on the southeast side. Well, there's what looks to be a used-to-be road, but really not rideable. There was a pipe under the "road" near the dog indicating traffic in the distant past. When it got to the top there was just beautiful grassy field, not a hint of a "road. I looked all over and didn't see anything from any direction.

There was a pool of water covered with green stuff in that canyon. Good for a dog!

I came across more first-timers

A guy and his girlfriend said, pointing, wow, you can see DIA from up here.

I wanted to ride anything that looked like a trail. This faint two-track started out not too promising and faded to nothing in about 200 yards. It's real spooky up there riding on something like that with hidden cactus everywhere.

The ant on top was asking his buds to help him take this treat back to his mother as a gift.

More first timers. To their credit they were both smiling as they pushed their bikes to the top. When I passed one of them she was repeating, while pushing her bike "I think I can, I think I can." Her boyfriend said that he can descend on singletrack real fast!

Mom said I could take the family out, since she's in Kansas right now.
We went for a picnic/hike at LOTB. Great day, LOTS of people (of course). Full lot, had to park by the pullout farther up the road right where the climb starts.
We were the family of 4 with the horse (actually Great Dane), but got lots of "nice horse!" comments!

My wife and I tried to talk the "kids" into it

But at 25-28 yrs old they wanted nothing to do with us.

We went riding on our own, on the most crowded trails I've ever seen. !!

Thumps up to all the Mothers that did get out for a ride yesterday , and I saw many !!
